Popular Web Automation Solution Now Supports Firefox Quantum v56 and Later; Includes Updated User Interface and Detachable Sidebar
BURLINGTON, Mass. – July 19, 2018 – Ipswitch®, producer of award-winning and easy-to-use secure file transfer and network management software, released iMacros for Firefox 10 with updates for both the Freeware and Personal editions. iMacros for Firefox 10 brings compatibility with Firefox Quantum v56 and later, along with an updated, cleaner user interface and detachable sidebar. Ipswitch’s iMacros is the world's most popular web automation, data extraction and web testing solution.
“iMacros makes it easy to record and replay repetitious work and works with every website,” said Kevin Conklin, Vice President of Product Marketing and Content at Ipswitch. “With valuable input from our customers, partners, freeware users and beta testers, we are pleased to update iMacros for compatibility with Firefox v56 and later, as well as a modern and clean design, among other additions.”
The new iMacros touts new color and icons and new ability to dock or undock the iMacros sidebar to the browser. It adds domain name filter to CLEAR command for clearing cookies, support for the !PLAYBACKDELAY command, read-only !FOLDER_MACROS and !FOLDER_DOWNLOAD variables for referencing these paths in other commands and image recognition-specific command and variables: SIZE, !IMAGEX and !IMAGEY.
iMacros for Firefox 10 is a complete rewrite of the add-on using the WebExtension API introduced with Firefox Quantum and supported in Firefox v56 and later. This is also the same API used by Chrome, so users will notice many similarities and shared functionality between these two iMacros products. However, because the implementation of the WebExtension API varies with each browser vendor (i.e. Google and Mozilla), not all functionality and features supported are the same between iMacros for Firefox and Chrome.
iMacros allows users to automate tasks across all major browsers, including Internet Explorer, Chrome and Firefox. iMacros web automation software works with every website to make it easy to record and replay repetitious work.
